The DG Student Design Competition is on again for 2010!

This time the brief is to design a cover for OZ Graphix, and we are inviting both tertiary and secondary students to enter.

The DG Student Design Competition invites students to design a cover for an imaginary issue of DG Portfolio, and experience working to a design brief.

Entries were open to both tertiary college and secondary school students in Australia, judged in separate divisions.

DG Portfolio is an annual publication which showcases work by readers of DG magazine online. DG Portfolio covers all creative disciplines, including (but not limited to) graphic design, illustration, computer graphics, photography and website design. There were no suggested themes for the cover designs so students were given free reign in their response to the brief.

The results
This year’s competition has been the most popular yet, especially in the new secondary school division, and the quality of the work is shown in the following galleries of winners, runners-up, commendations and notable entries.
