Dan Stafford
TokyOH! (2009) – Personal Work – Discusses Japan’s clashing influences in it’s contemporary Fashion tastes.
Described by Design You Trust as a “A True eyes breaker, Illustrator and Designer Dan Stafford stands out from the world of contemporary illustration”, 23 year old Dan explores visual communication in a post-modern context. His strong and confident use of bold pattern and colour is born of a fanatical following of contemporary film makers such as David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick which has also coloured his work with a flavour of the surreal. He currently lives and works in London creating intelligent and super-glossy editorial and advertising work in a short time scale.
WHOAbama (2009) – Personal Work – Side effect of an upcoming collaborative series with Dutch Illustrator Jordy van den Niewendijk.
Since graduating from Loughborough University School of Art & Design with a First Class Honours in Visual Communication this year Dan has already had his work selected for the Association of Illustrators Annual 2010, exhibited in London and has exhibitions in San Francisco and Glasgow planned for 2010. He has also been working with Sodastream on their recent relaunch party as well as various magazines including Independent music mag: Bearded and Fashion mag: Schön! whilst promoting his work to the global editorial market.
