June 13 – 23 2013
Celebrate the dark through large-scale public art, food, music, light and noise.
Dark Mofo 2013 is the Museum of Old and New Art’s inaugural winter festival.
It will be celebrating both ancient and contemporary mythologies: darkness
and light, birth and death, fire and ice. Dark Mofo will also provide a feast of good music, art and food.
Dark Mofo runs June 13-23, 2013 in and around Hobart, with concerts and performances; MONA’s first large-scale public art projection and exhibition, ‘Beam In Thine Own Eye’; the Hobart City Council Dark Mofo ‘Winter Feast’ that will enliven the Hobart waterfront with food, fire and dance; plus the Mona til Midnight opening of the new major exhibition, ‘The Red Queen’; a Dark Mofo Films program; along with the usual Mofo shenanigans and some dark debauchery at Dark Faux Mo.
